During 2020 and 2021 P-O-L-O created one picture everyday to pair it with music suggested by people he met.
The project started with a creative challenge from Andrea Esposito: to share a black and white photo every day for one week.
The rules were simple: the photo needed to portray some aspect of your day, no explanation, nothing fancy, without any fuss. During the challenge, he found himself more aware of his surroundings.
Initially, it was all about a daily photograph, but after the week was over, he found it so engaging that decided to continue it indefinitely.
He's a music lover, so after a while, he thought: "What would that song look like" so he started to link it to the daily photograph. Finding inspiration from these songs and then interpreting them his way.
As if this was not enough, he started asking friends to suggest a song they liked, and he started doing the same with their song.
After 731 pictures - two full years - and an exhibition at the 2021 Ballarat International Foto Biennale, the project ended on the 31st of December 2021.
